NCTE Approval

The College was accorded recognition by the National Council for Teacher Education from 2000-2001 vide order No. F / KL/ B.Ed /38/SRO/ NCTE / 2001-2002 / 8774 dtd.20-11-2001.

The Strength of the College as sanctioned by the NCTE is 50. The intake is in the following six Core Courses prescribed for the B.Ed. Programme

Mathematics Natural Science
Physical Science Social science

 

NAAC Accreditation

The college is one among the premier institution imparting quality education since its inception in 1995 and in recognition of its efforts the college was accredited by NAAC with’ A ‘Grade in the year 2009

B.Ed. Programme

Admission Norms
Eligibility for admission, norms for admission, reservation of seats for B.Ed Degree Programme shall be according to the rules framed by the university and NCTE from time to time.

The College Union

College Union will be functioning based on the university norms/Government orders and Court orders if any. Active participation is essential in the functioning of the Clubs or Associations; in organising programmes on days of National importance, in celebrating festivals like Onam, Christmas etc., in the publication of the College Magazine

The House System

To promote competitive spirit among the pupils and to inculcate the habit of co-operation and leadership qualities most of the activities and competitions are held house-wise. Students are divided into three houses Jasmine, Lotus, Rose.

The Tutorial System

Students would be grouped together and placed under a lecturer for tutorial work which helps interaction among students and teachers. The teacher educators can observe the entry behaviour and subsequent attitudinal changes in the students and the feedback they get would help them reconstruct their curricular transaction.

The Routine

There would be common ‘Assembly’ of students and staff in the morning for prayer and presentation of “thought for the day”. On other days of the week, in addition to regular classroom instruction, there is provision for a variety of participatory learning activities like tutorials, written assignments, library work, symposium, seminars, art festivals and literary activities, work experience, games and sports and so on. Students in turn give leadership to these programmes.

Anti Ragging Cell

An anti-ragging cell is functioning in the college. The cell is to prevent any form of ragging by constant vigil, observation and precaution. Ragging incidents, if any, will be strictly dealt with and any such incident shall be reported immediately to the concerned authorities for necessary action.

Hostel

Hostel accommodation is available to women students in the campus itself.
