Greetings from Marthoma Teachers Training College, Ranny.

‘Wisdom’ is what we need in this century and what the college should impart to the students. It is not packing people with information, but it is furnishing people with activities necessary to understand and evaluate the value system under which they operate. There are five basic approaches to values in education; inculcation, moral development, analysis, values clarifying and action learning. Value based education aims at training the student to face the outer world with right attitude and values. It is a process of overall personality development of a student.

Today every parent wants to give the best education to their children, which is not confined to the books, but it goes much beyond that. The parents look at the holistic development of the student as that is essential to edge in global scenario.

I wish and pray that this professional education institution may help to be useful and dynamic in holistic development.
